Now vs if chaptered
Now: c.140 §121 still has five ERPO petitioner classes, including health-care providers (treatment within 6 months) and school or college administrators. If this print had passed, only those two classes would drop. It did not pass.
Defender utility
On a Massachusetts extreme-risk calendar, health-care providers who treated the respondent within six months, and principals or administrators of a school or college where the respondent is enrolled, are still petitioners under c.140 §121. H.2714 would have cut only those two classes and died in a House Rule 27 study order (H5322). Do not argue the petitioner list narrowed. Family or household members, the municipal licensing authority, and law enforcement with official contact in the prior 30 days were never in this cut. Not a California GVRO and not a charge.
Who this is for. MA PDs on ERPO / c.140 §§121 and 131R calendars — health-care and school petitioners stay; this study-order cut is not law; not a California GVRO.
